Stock Controller and Purchaser

We are actively recruiting a Stock Controller and Purchaser for an established company in Gainsborough. 

The company is accessible from areas of North Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. 

A permanent full time Monday to Friday opportunity, this role would be ideally suited to a dynamic ambitious individual, who has an established track record in stock control, procurement and supply chain.

Key Duties:

• Allocating stock and organising stock transfers from warehouse facility to production facility

• Completing Works Order Documents and calculating stock values of orders

• Monitoring inventory and taking action regarding shortages and slow-moving stock

• Reviewing stock levels and managing stock counts

• Work closely with the warehouse and production managers as well as customer services, sales and logistics

• Establish and maintain good working relationships with suppliers

• Sending purchase orders to suppliers and following up on lead times

• Negotiating with suppliers on pricing

• Update other areas of the business on the status of purchase orders

• Responsible for various types of purchasing for the company (raw materials, stock, office consumables)

• Manage supply dates and provide updates to internal stakeholders to ensure client delivery dates are met

• Assist with other operational roles when required

Candidates should possess commercial awareness and be able to use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

We also seek a candidate who has excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail skills and an ability to work to strict deadlines.

The salary is £28,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits and an excellent holiday allowance.
