Export Sales Administrator

Job Description

We are working in partnership with a Chesterfield manufacturing business to recruit an Export Sales Administrator.

Reporting to a Manager and working in a team environment, the position is office based, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties:

  • Arranging hauliers for UK shipments, processing delivery notes and invoices

  • Managing essential export documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin

  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure all shipments are timely and accurate

  • Communicating with key external partners including shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to ensure smooth and compliant operations

  • Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and laws, helping to mitigate any potential risks

  • Resolving shipping or customs-related issues efficiently to avoid delays or complications

  • Handling and processing telephone calls, maintaining regular communication with customers and sales reps

  • Liaising with freight forwarders via email and phone, ensuring a smooth shipping process

  • Presenting final export documents to the bank or directly to the customer for collection or payment

  • Managing and updating Excel spreadsheets to track key information

  • Handling a high volume of emails and ensuring inquiries are resolved promptly

  • Working closely with other team members to distribute workloads evenly and ensure smooth operations

There is full training provided; it would be beneficial if a candidate has some export experience.

Candidates should be competent with Word and Excel.
